Makerspace
Makerspace helps children become creative problem solvers. Creativity entails encouraging children to develop their imaginative solutions and turn these imaginative solutions into concrete reality. With Makerspace, children would also be “constructing” their knowledge. It has three components:
Making: Making refers to a set of activities that can be designed with various learning goals in mind.
Makerspace: Makerspace refers to a community of practice constructed in a physical place.
Makers: Makers refer to the participants. As students participate in the making activities, students will gain a new identity as creators rather than consumers.
